Get Completely Stable Dentures with Dental Implants
Dr. Zandstra of Alpharetta Georgia knows that unsecured dentures can cause problems for people. You can secure your dentures easily and for a low cost using dental implants. Other benefits include retaining jawbone and facial structure. Contact Dr. Zandstra today for a consultation.
How How Does Denture Stabilization Work?
First, Dr. Zandstra places two implants in the lower arch and usually four implants in the upper arch. These implants will receive a snap head instead of the typical screw base used for a single implant tooth. The snap head can be affixed to either your existing denture if in good shape and that has ideal fitment, or Dr. Zandstra can create a whole new full arch denture from top-quality cosmetic materials which will give you an excellent fit and allow you to enjoy life, laugh, and eat what you want again.
The more implants are used, the great your denture’s stability will be improved. The only anesthetic typically needed for implant surgery is an injection over the position where the implant is installed using our Anutra local anesthetic system.

Chew And Eat Like A Kid Again
With denture stabilization, you can have dentures that won’t slip anymore! Imagine not having to use your tongue and lips to keep your denture from slipping. It can be life-changing! Dr. Zandstra and her team of experts will help you select the right dental implant solution for you.
How Does Denture Stabilization Work?
If you currently have dentures that slip while you eat or during normal activities, Dr. Zandstra can retrofit those dentures over a few implants to stabilize them. So not only will your existing dentures become more comfortable, but you’ll also be able to chew a lot better too.
Some of the benefits of using implants to stabilize your dentures are no slippage, extra security, the ability to chew almost as you did with natural teeth, and less denture covering the roof of your mouth for a more appealing appearance with the confidence of natural teeth.
So What Is The Stabilization Procedure?
Dr. Estelle Zandstra, Alpharetta’s Prosthodontist is an expert at placing and restoring dental implants.
Relining Your Snap-On Denture
- She’ll make a small incision in your gums and place a titanium implant which will be then stitched with dissolving thread that will heal in just a few days.
- Next, your existing dentures are hollowed out and injected with silicone reline material which is then placed in your mouth over the top of the new snaps on top of the placed implants.
- Once the silicone cures over the top of the implant snaps (in about 2 hours), Dr. Zandstra will remove the denture and adjust the fit for the best appearance and fitment.
